Obama called the imposition of new sanctions against Iran - a mistake

Almaty. January 29. Silkroadnews - President Barack Obama called the idea of a possible new sanctions against Iran a "mistake", informs the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG).
This opinion was expressed by the President of the United States in the Scheduled to run next Sunday interview with broadcaster CNN, excerpts of which were released on January 28.
He believes that the introduction of US sanctions against Iran at this stage would give Iran an excuse to exit the ongoing negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program.
The President stressed that on the basis of these considerations, he would veto any resolution of the US Congress to impose additional sanctions against Iran, if they will be presented for approval in the near future.
Earlier, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif said that the introduction of new US sanctions against Iran would be counterproductive. According to him, this " will kill the Geneva Agreement of 24 November 2014, as goes contrary to its terms".
The Iranian parliament is ready to retaliate in the event of US new sanctions against the Islamic Republic.
