Official launch of the railway Iran-Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan is scheduled for December 3

Almaty. November, 18. Silkroadnews - The opening ceremony of the transnational railway "North-South" linking Iran with Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, will be held on December 3rd, informs the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Tuesday.
The representative of the company "Iranian Railways" Muhammad Garavi said that celebration of the official launch of the railway, which will be held in the town Incheborun on Iran-Turkmenistan border, will be attended by the presidents of Iran, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
According to a number of local media, in the project of laying Iranian plot of this international railway, the Iranian authorities have spent about $52 million.
It should be noted that the railway Gurgon-Incheborun-Turkmenistan with length of about 88 km connects Iran through Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, Russia to CIS countries and China. It is part of the transnational transport corridor "North-South", which connects Northern Europe to Southeast Asia.
