Oil extraction in China decreased by 2.1% in January
Almaty. February 26. Silkroadnews - China.org.cn reports, in January China’s oil extraction fell by 2.1% compared with the same month in 2015.
“This January the volume of oil production in China reached 17.69 million tons, i.e. decreased by 2.1% compared to the same month of 2015,” - says the publication referring to the data by the National Development and Reform Commission of the People’s Republic of China.
According to the Committee, last month the volume of oil refining in the country amounted to 38.66 million tons with a decrease of 1.8% compared to the same month last year, the volume of liquid fuel production made 24.41 million tons (a decrease of 1.8%). At the same time, the volume of consumption of petroleum products amounted to 22.09 million tons (2.9% decrease).
In January 2016 the volume of gas production in China grew by 4.1% compared with the same period last year, reaching 13.1 billion cubic meters, the natural gas imports to the country reached 7.6 billion cubic meters with an increase of 22.6%. The volume of natural gas consumption made 22.3 billion cubic meters (17.6% growth).
