Oil production in Iran increased by 400 thousand barrels per day within the first month after the removal of the sanctions
Almaty. February 15. Silkroadnews - In the first month after the sanctions removal the crude oil production in Iran increased by 400 thousand barrels per day, IrTAG informs.
“Up to this day after the removal of the sanctions we managed to ramp-up the crude oil production by 400 thousand barrels per day. In the nearest future Iran’s crude oil production will increase by another 200 thousand barrels per day,” - the Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Roknodin Javadi said.
At the same time, he emphasized that “after five years these Iran’s first deliveries of oil to Europe had opened a new chapter in Iran’s oil industry”.
R. Javadi also touched on the beginning of export and restart of oil transactions with the French Total and two companies from Russia and Spain.
“The National Iranian Oil Company has agreed with France’s Total on the export of 160-180 thousand barrels of crude oil per day (...) Within 24 hours, four million barrels of Iran’s crude oil will be loaded on three tankers: Russian, French and Spanish. Of them 2 million barrels belong to Total,” - R. Javadi noted.
