Oil refinery exploded in Taiwan
Beijing. January 29. Silkroadnews - Oil refinery exploded in Taiwan, Chinese media reported.
“An oil refinery exploded in Taiwan’s Taoyuan city at 6:42 a.m. Monday, local media reported,” the publication reads.
About 40 fire vehicles were sent to the scene, and the fire has been localized. No casualties have been reported so far.
The residents of the surrounding areas said they heard loud explosions lasting about ten minutes.
According to the preliminary data, the explosion was caused by the rupture of the pipe of the refinery, which belongs to the petrochemical company of Taiwan.
The investigation into the causes of the incident is ongoing.
