Over 310 million people crossed Chinese border in H1 2018

In the first half of 2018, more than 78.56 million exit documents were issued, a 18.2% increase year-on-year. About 16.41 million travels were on private passports, and another 13.11 million - on travel passes for Hong Kong and Macao, about 3.55 million permits were issued for travel to Taiwan, an increase of 23.8% year-on-year.
More than 77.94 million citizens of China and 23.11 million foreign citizens left the country, which is more by 14.1% and 11.2% in annual terms, respectively.
The three most popular destinations for Chinese citizens traveling were Hong Kong, Macao and Thailand, while the most foreigners came from the Republic of Korea, Myanmar and Japan.
