Pakistan invested $1 billion to facilitate Afghanistan’s development

Beijing. June 18. Silkroadnews - Pakistan has invested $1 billion in the development of Afghanistan, the Pakistani ambassador to China Masood Khalid told in an exclusive interview with the Chinese magazine, the Afghan Telegraph Agency (AfTAG) reports.
According to the diplomat, the development assistance has been focused on investments in infrastructure, education, health care, agriculture and training of Afghan specialists.
Khalid also noted, Pakistan helps Afghanistan in building potential in the military sector, agriculture, banking, railways, and diplomacy.
He then added that Pakistan and China are working together to contribute to strengthening Afghanistan’s capacities in various fields through a dialogue on practical cooperation.
As for three-way relations between the countries, the ambassador said that the parties agreed to establish a dialogue between the Foreign Ministers of China, Afghanistan and Pakistan to expand the cooperation in the areas of mutual interest, beginning with economic cooperation.
Pakistan and China cooperate with Afghanistan to explore ways to ensure the country’s ties with the region.
