Almaty. August 31. Silkroadnews – Pakistan rejects Trump’s statement on harboring of militants, the U.S information portal 10 KWTX reports.
“Pakistan’s lower house of parliament has passed a resolution denouncing U.S. President Donald Trump's claim that the country harbors militants battling U.S. forces in neighboring Afghanistan”, the report reads.
With this it is noted that the resolution adopted on Wednesday concerns the remarks made in the speech of D. Trump earlier this month regarding the new strategy of the war in Afghanistan. The U.S. officials have long said that Pakistan turns a blind eye to militants operating along the porous Afghan border.
The National Assembly reportedly rejected “hostile” remarks and stated that the government should consider the possibility of postponing official visits both from the U.S. and to the U.S. Islamabad has already canceled the visit of the special representative of Washington for Pakistan and Afghanistan, which was planned for this week.
