Panama to send envoys to China on talks on trade and security issues

Almaty. August 7. Silkroadnews – Panama will send envoys to China for talks on trade and security issues, Reuters reported.
Panama’s government will send a delegation of senior security and trade officials to China for talks, the first such mission since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations, the report said.
It is noted that members of Panama’s delegation will meet with China’s Public Security Minister Guo Shengkun, as well as with a number of high-ranking officials responsible for security and migration issues.
The talks are aimed at boosting the bilateral trade, as well as “promoting Panama as a regional headquarters for the Chinese banks and companies”.
Panama established diplomatic relations with China in June 2017.
