Participants in the Syrian talks in Astana postponed their regular meeting

Almaty. June 8. Silkroadnews – The countries-guarantors of the cease-fire (Russia, Iran, Turkey) will continue their meetings at the expert level in the coming weeks, the head of the press service of the Kazakhstani Foreign Ministry Anuar Zhainakov said, KazTAG reported.
“According to the information received from the guarantor-countries of the Astana process, representatives of Russia, Turkey and Iran will continue working meetings in their capitals in the coming days and weeks at the expert level to agree on issues related to realization of the agreements reached between them on establishment of four zones of de-escalation in Syria and on a number of other issues related to strengthening the ceasefire regime”, A. Zhainakov said on Thursday.
To remind, earlier the Syrian talks were held in Astana on May 3-4, 2017. As a result, representatives of the countries-guarantors (Russia, Iran, Turkey) signed a memorandum on creation of four zones of de-escalation in Syria, including the province of Idlib, as well as parts of the neighboring Latakia, Hama and Aleppo, parts in the north of Homs province, East Guta, certain areas in the south of Syria, namely Daraa and Quneitra.
The fourth round of negotiations on the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Syria was tentatively scheduled for June 12-13.
