Passengers in China will be allowed to use gadgets during the flight
Almaty. September 19. Silkroadnews – Air passengers in China will be allowed to use gadgets during the flight, the South China Morning Post reported.
“China’s aviation authority will relax its rules on using mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets during flights, allowing individual airlines to decide on their own rules,” the publication reads.
Last time, when the aviation rules have been revised, was in April 2016, and existing regulations prohibit passengers from switching on or operating portable electronic devices, such as mobile phones, walkie-talkies and remote control toys during flights. Some devices, such as laptops, are prohibited to use only during take-off or landing.
Changes in the new regulations are aimed at improving safety by reducing the fatigue risk of crew members and raising their qualifications, extending age limit for pilots, reducing flight time for the crew and changing the policy for aviation fuel.
The rules, as reported, will be mandatory for all carriers by the end of 2019.
