Periods for legitimation of property defined
Astana. May 13. Silkroadnews – The periods for a new wave of legitimation of property have been defined, as the Deputy PM and Kazakh Minister of Finance, Bakhyt Sultanov, informed.
“The law stipulates that the legitimation period is to start on the 1st of September this year. It will end on the 31st of December 2015”, the Deputy PM said at the briefing organised by the President’s Central Communications Service.
As he informed, money, share capital, and securities can be legitimated. Some types of real estate property in Kazakhstan and abroad can also be legitimated.
At the same time, unlawfully acquired property cannot be legitimated. This includes property acquired as a result of criminal activity, inclusive of crimes against individuals, their constitutional and other rights, basic stipulations of constitutional regime and national security. This also includes property acquired through corruption and other violations that undermine interests of public services.
The draft law corresponding to the announced process has been approved by the Kazakh government.
