Almaty. August 17. Silkroadnews –  For seven months of this year Tajikistan's petroleum products output grew by more than one third on a year-on-year basis, TajikTA reported.

«For seven months of this year Tajikistan produced about 70 thousand tonnes of oil products, which is a 30.3% growth compared to the same period of last year», the Statistics Agency under the President of Tajikistan reported.

Such increase in oil production volume is related to increase in production of gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil and asphalt.

For the first seven months of this year the country produced more than 2.2 thousand tonnes of diesel fuel, i.e. 1.6 times higher than in the same period of 2015. The production of gasoline (396 tonnes) grew by almost 14%, fuel oil (about 3.7 thousand tonnes) by 30% and asphalt (62 thousand tonnes) by 44%.

To remind, Tajikistan almost entirely depends on imports of fuel and lubricants.

Russia is leading in terms of petroleum products supply to Tajikistan, taking 62% of the supply market. 24% of the total petroleum products import volume are delivered from Kazakhstan and another 12.6% – from Turkmenistan.
