PMI of China’s manufacturing sector of economy eased to nearly 50 points in July

Almaty. August 1. Silkroadnews – PMI of China’s manufacturing sector of economy decreased to 49.9 points in July 2016, the report by the National Bureau of Statistics of China states, TASS reports.

According to the agency, July index is 0.1 lower compared to that one of June. As the published data shows, the industrial sector’s PMI has been decreasing for two consecutive months.

The PMI and its constituent sub-indices of 50 points are considered by experts as the manufacturing sector’s activity kept on the same level. The index’ movement above the threshold indicates an increase in activity in the manufacturing sector, while the movement below the threshold shows a decline.

PMI of non-industrial sector of China’s economy grew to 53.9 points in July.
