Beijing. May 28. Silkroadnews - Local officials in Badghis say that some Afghan police officers sell their weapons and other military equipment to anti-government armed groups in the province, the Afghan Telegraph Agency (AfTAG) wrote.
Confirming this fact, General Ahmad Fahim Qayem, the newly appointed head of the provincial police, said that every policeman who committed such an act of “betrayal” will be prosecuted, the Afghan Voice Agency says.
“Don’t show mercy on those who are killing you. Fire 10 bullets against their one bullet. Don’t sell police army’s bullets. Every soldier who does that should know that in fact he sells himself and his family,” the agency quoted General saying.
It is said that combat groups, participating in the fight against security forces, use the weapons and ammunition of the pro-government forces.
The problem is of great concern to the citizens, as many believe that the government has not been able to properly solve similar problems in the past.
