Polish exports to Tajikistan increased by almost a third since the beginning of the year

Almaty. August 14. Silkroadnews - The growth of Polish exports to Tajikistan amounted to almost 30% since the beginning of 2014, according to Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) on Thursday.
"The growth of Polish exports to Tajikistan amounted to almost 30% since the beginning of the year. It includes machinery and equipment, non-ferrous metal products, chemical products, ready-made food, furniture and wood products", - said the first counselor of the Embassy of Poland in the Republic of Tajikistan, Slawomir Strzalkowski at a briefing on Thursday.
However, he clarified that Tajikistan remains one of the most important trade partners of Poland in Central Asia.
Counselor of the Embassy of Poland mentioned that for 5 months in 2014 the trade turnover between the two countries increased by 37% compared to the same period of 2013.
By the way, imports from Tajikistan in Poland accounted for cotton fiber (80%) and its products, as well as non-ferrous metal products.
Counselor noted that financial sector and the scientific sphere are priority areas for enhanced cooperation between Tajikistan and Poland.
