Power losses remain high in Kyrgyzstan, T. Sariyev

Almaty. January 19. Silkroadnews – The power losses remain high in Kyrgyzstan. The Prime Minister of the KR Temir Sariyev said at the meeting of the republican headquarter on the preparation of economy and population for the autumn-winter period of 2015-2016, KyrTAG reports.
The head of government noted that electricity losses in Kyrgyzstan remain high, thus, every effort shall be made to reduce them and this whole issue shall be considered in depth.
“We shall not bear with this situation. Distribution companies, if you want operate further you must do your job in a proper manner”, T.Sariyev stressed.
According to the government press service, the loss of power in January-December 2015 made 14.9% with 15% plan forecasted. During this period the losses of “Severelectro” JSC are 14.8%, “Vostokelectro” JSC – 17%, “Oshelectro” JSC – 14%, “Jalal-Abadelectro” JSC – 14.6%.
Losses in December of the last year amounted to 18.2%, which is 1.2% higher versus plan of 17%, with the following split for the companies: “Severelectro” JSC - 18.9%, “Vostokelectro” JSC - 14.3%, “Oshelectro” JSC - 16.7%, “Jalal-Abadelectro” JSC – 22.6%.
