PRC Vice Premier urged to promote traditional Chinese medicine overseas

Almaty. July 1. Silkroadnews – Vice Premier Liu Yandong urged to promote traditional Chinese medicine abroad, Xinhua news agency reports.
“China’s Vice Premier Liu Yandong called for more efforts to promote traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) overseas. Liu made the remarks while meeting with representatives from the TCM industry”, report said.
“China should improve scientific and technical support for TCM, educate more specialists in Chinese traditional medicine, develop regulations, policies, management and evaluation systems for the industry”, Liu said.
It is reported that the law on traditional Chinese medicine come into force on July 1, 2017. Chinese traditional medicine includes such theories and practices as phytotherapy, acupuncture, massage and special diets. At present there are 482000 specialists work in the TMC field in China.
