Precious metals export declines by almost 20% in first quarter in Tajikistan

Dushanbe. April 22. Silkroadnews –  Exports of precious and semiprecious metals declined by 19.5% in the first quarter,  as Tajik Ministry of Industry and New Technologies informs.
Tajikistan exported USD 13.5 mln worth of precious and semiprecious metals and gemstones in the January-March period. This signifies USD 3.2 mln decline compared to the subsequent 2013 period.
Tajikistan produced 2 tonnes 674.4 kg of gold in 2013.
It aims to produce 3 tonnes of gold this year.
