Prenuptial agreement in Kyrgyzstan may become mandatory

Almaty. September 17. Silkroadnews - In Kyrgyzstan, members of Parliament Nadir Narmatov and Abdumitalip Kochkrobaev offer to oblige citizens to sign a marriage contract, reports KyrTAG with reference to the draft law "On Amendments and Additions to the Family Code of the Kyrgyz Republic".
According to proponents, the bill is designed to protect the property rights and interests of citizens wishing to marry.
"Making a marriage contract can protect from many problems and minimize material losses of the spouses in a divorce", - said in comments to the documents.
In addition, the bill will identify courts to leave children who have not reached the age of ten, after their mother.
