President of China and Prime Minister of Canada discussed the coordination on issues of common concern

Almaty. September 1. Silkroadnews – Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing, «People's Daily» newspaper wrote.

Xi Jinping emphasized, China and Canada need to strengthen their cooperation at the highest level. Both countries' leaders should maintain exchanges of views and coordination on issues of common concern. The parties are also to strengthen the dialogue and cooperation in all the fields using the existing bilateral mechanisms.

The PRC's head added, the parties need to coordinate the development strategy, expand practical cooperation, undertake efforts to strengthen cooperation in energy, financial services, scientific and technological innovation, modern agriculture, equipment manufacturing, environmental protection and energy saving.

In his turn, J. Trudeau said that the Canadian side has the highest regard for the progress in the development China made for the past decade. The Canadian side makes all the efforts to deepen its cooperation with China in economy, trade, investment, law and other fields.

To remind, the 11th G20 summit will be held in the Chinese city of Hangzhou on September4-5.
