President of Iran urged to expand cooperation with Oman

Beijing. March 19. Silkroadnews - Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani described Tehran-Muscat relations as growing and emphasized the importance of enhancing mutual cooperation, the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) reports referring to the IRNA.
Meeting with Oman’s Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi on Sunday President Rouhani said the expansion of banking ties is necessary for the development of the countries’ trade relations and economic cooperation.
“Iran is determined to boost its relations and cooperation with Oman,” the agency cited Rouhani saying.
Speaking about the importance of promoting entrepreneurs of the two countries, he also noted that Iran has great investment opportunities in various fields, such as petrochemicals, energy, steel, aluminum, railway and development of the country’s ports, and invited Omani investors to cooperate in these areas, IRNA news agency reports.
The Foreign Minister of Oman, in his turn, said, Oman is committed to comprehensive cooperation with Iran and will spare no effort to strengthen trade and cultural ties.
He also called for the development of bilateral relations, in particular in the fields of energy, transit, port cooperation and trade relations.
The Omani Minister also hailed Iran’s efforts to ensure peace and stability in the region and said the conflict in Yemen have had brought nothing to this country, except chaos and disaster.
