President of Kyrgyzstan will take part in the first World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul

Almaty. May 23. Silkroadnews – On May 22, 2016, Kyrgyzstan’s president Almazbek Atambaev left for a working visit to Istanbul to take part in the first World Humanitarian Summit on invitation of the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, KyrTAG reports.

Within the framework of the visit Mr. Atambaev also plans to hold bilateral meetings with the heads of other delegations.

The summit will discuss five directions in the field of humanitarian action: prevention of conflicts, respect for the rules of war, no one shall be forgotten, how to change the working methods to address the needs existing, investments in protection of humanity interests.

The countries’ leaders are to confirm their “responsibility to the people of the world and commit to implementation of agenda to the benefit of humanity as proposed by the Secretary General”.
