President of Tajikistan listed hydraulic power, mining and agriculture as sectors in “particular” need of investments
Almaty. December 15. Silkroadnews – There are more than 240 types of preferences provided for entrepreneurs in Tajikistan, Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reported on Thursday.
“Tajikistan’s tax legislation provides more than 240 types of preferences for entrepreneurs”, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon said during a meeting with businessmen of Sri Lanka in city of Colombo.
Tajik leader called the entrepreneurs to invest heavily into the Tajik economy, having listed hydropower, light and food industries, mining, processing of products of the agricultural sector, building of tourism infrastructure and drinking water exports as sectors that need the investments the most.
Emomali Rahmon has invited Sri Lankan businessmen to visit Tajikistan and learn about the country’s investment environment.
The meeting of Tajikistan’s president with businessmen was held in the framework of his official visit to Sri Lanka.
Five cooperation documents were signed on December 13 as result of the talks between President Emomali Rahmon and President of Sri Lanka Maithripala Yapa Sirisena.
