Almaty. December 7. Silkroadnews - Uzbek President Islam Karimov, speaking at the meeting dedicated to the 23rd anniversary of the Constitution, criticized the activities of the prosecutor's office, said Uzbekistan News Agency (UzTAG).
"It's no secret that, unfortunately, in our daily lives are still often found such facts as the failure to comply, a gross violation of rules and provisions of the law, the principle of justice, neglect of law enforcement and regulatory authorities to their duties, which leads to illegal actions", - said Islam Karimov.
According to the President, noting these facts, inadvertently pose the question - to what extent and how effectively the General Prosecutor's Office carries out its functions "to oversee the correct and uniform application of laws on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan".
"According to reports, for the first 9 months in address of prosecutors in the Attorney General's Office received 426 complaints. As a result of these complaints, to the disciplinary charges brought 45 staff, from the office released 22 employees, 33 were dismissed from the prosecutor's office", - said Islam Karimov.
Of course, these numbers and this state of affairs, according to the president, can not satisfy the public. In this regard, he instructed the Senate in a short time to consider the issues on strengthening control and legality of the prosecutor's office.
