President of Uzbekistan noted the necessity to reduce the level of state involvement in the economy

Almaty. December 8. Silkroadnews - Uzbek President Islam Karimov mentioned the need to review and reduce the level of state involvement in the economy, reports the Telegraph Agency of Uzbekistan (UzTAG).
President urged to evaluate carefully the work force in the country, large joint-stock associations. "Most attention requires a critical assessment of the effectiveness of our corporate stock or associations. In developed countries, especially in the sphere of industrial production, the ownership is dominant",- said Islam Karimov.
Summarizing the above, the President of Uzbekistan stressed the need to conduct a full-scale critical analysis of the availability and effectiveness of the presence of state shares in the sectors of the economy, and on this basis to identify further measures to substantially increase the presence of the private sector in the economy.
"It seems appropriate to implement the government's stake in these companies to the private sector, including zero cost, with the adoption of new investors obligations to restore and establish the basis for their new modern production facilities", - said the head of state.
