Presidents of Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia will meet in Baku

Almaty. April 8. Silkroadnews - The work is being carried out in Baku to organize the trilateral meeting of the heads of the states of Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia, the minister of foreign affairs of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif said, Trend reports.

According to him, the Iranian president will be glad to take part in this meeting.
The minister also noted that during the bilateral meeting with Elmar Mammadyarov, his Azerbaijani counterpart, they discussed the issues of cooperation in such areas as aviation, maritime and railway transport, customs. The parties have also discussed the issues of security and measures to fight terrorism and extremism.

On Thursday Baku hosted a meeting of foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran – Elmar Mammadyarov, Sergei Lavrov and Mohammad Javad Zarif.

A communiqué has been issued on the results of their trilateral meeting. The parties expressed their commitment to continue the further development of cooperation based on mutual respect, partnership and the principle of noninterference in each other’s internal affairs.
