Presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan discussed the SCO summit in Tashkent

Almaty. April 15. Silkroadnews – President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev during his working visit to Uzbekistan met with President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, the press service of the head of state reports.
The sides discussed the principal directions of bilateral cooperation in trade-economic, water and energy, transport and logistics, and cultural and humanitarian fields.

They also discussed the topic issues of the international agenda, regional security and the upcoming SCO summit to be held in Tashkent.

The President of Kazakhstan emphasized the historically friendly relations between the two countries.
“I am proud of my friendship with You and friendship between the Kazakh and Uzbek people. The goal is to strengthen these relations, mutual trust and then pass it over to the future generations. On behalf of all the Kazakhstani people wish the people of Uzbekistan prosperity and success,” N. Nazarbayev said.
In his turn, President Karimov marked the sincere friendship, mutual respect and support between the two states.
