Beijing. Jul 12. Silkroadnews - Presidents of Russia and the U.S., Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, are getting ready to discuss oil prices at a summit in Helsinki, the Kazakh Telegraph Agency (KazTAG) reports citing Kommersant.
When Russian President Vladimir Putin meets Donald Trump next week, he’ll be armed to discuss oil production following the U.S. leader’s series of tweets targeting OPEC. The Kremlin sees Trump as likely to raise the issue of adding crude supplies to the market in a bid to lower gasoline prices before the U.S. elections in November, the World Oil said on Wednesday.
Reportedly, Dmitry Peskov, the Press Secretary for Vladimir Putin, does not exclude the topic will be on the agenda of the meeting.
To remind, D. Trump repeatedly urged OPEC to increase oil production to reduce the price for hydrocarbons.
