Presiedent of Kyrgyzstan ordered the government to revive the scientific activity in the country

Bishkek. September 5. Silkroadnews - Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev ordered the government to reform the science and to create the conditions for its revival, reports KyrTAG with reference to the press service of the head of state.
"On September 4, President Atambaev sent to the Prime Minister recommendation to reform the system of science and the revival of scientific activity in the country, developed and endorsed by the Public Expert Council for Educational Development under the President" - said in a statement.
"The recommendations include measures aimed at creating a new, modern system of organization of science and research activities, to its revival and the output of Kyrgyz scientists into the international scientific space. Therefore, according to the president, they should be published in the media for public discussion", - explained in the Office of the President.
According to the President, the implementation of the proposed recommendations will be consistent with the national strategy for sustainable development of the country for the period 2013-2017 years, and should be an important step towards the revival of scientific activity, to give a strong impetus to the revival and development of science in Kyrgyzstan, motivate academic institutions, and in particular all National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The President noted that the scientific justification should be a necessary step in the preparation and public decision-making on major economic, political and social issues. The analysis of the current state of science shows that scientific work is not aimed at the implementation of the practical needs of economic sectors and allows us to derive a domestic science at the international level.
The President stressed that the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic should take decisive steps to reform the system of science of the country, and stressed the importance of in-depth discussion by experts and the general public of the proposed ways to reform the system of science in Kyrgyzstan.
