Price of Brent crude fell below $46 per barrel for the first time in two months

Almaty. July 11. Silkroadnews – Prices of Brent crude oil fell below $46 per barrel for the first time in two months, RBC reports.

“The price of a barrel of Brent crude oil fell below $46 for the first time since May 11, 2016, a decrease of trading on the exchange ICE is almost 2%,” the statement said.

As noted, on Monday the world oil prices continued the decline which began after the reports saying the rate of decline in the U.S. inventories turned to be lower than expected.

“At a minimum the price of Brent crude dropped on Monday on ICE to $45.91, which is 1.82% below the closing level of the previous trading session. In previous times cheaper than the $46 price of a barrel of Brent was trading on May 11, 2016, when the oil trading opened at $45.59,” it is noted in the statement.

According to the analysts, the prices of oil futures remain under pressure due to the publication of data on increase in the number of active oil rigs in the United States to a three-month high.
