Almaty. December 18. Silkroadnews - CJSC "Kumtor Gold Company" has a temporary permit for production activities at Kumtor, issued by Kyrgyz government until December 31, 2015, said KyrTAG.
"To create the legal conditions for the activity of the company in the future, needed to amend the Water Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, allowing work to subsoil users in the glacier area. Meanwhile, the decision by the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic is still pending, as well as the unresolved fate of the restructuring project",- said the chairman of the central committee of the mining and metallurgical trade union of Kyrgyzstan Eldar Tadzhibaev on Wednesday.
"In any case, the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh must in the nearest future consider the activities of CJSC "KGK" and decide the fate of budget-important for the economy and investment attractiveness of the country's businesses. This basic condition out of this situation is to avoid stopping production at Kumtor, thus preserving the mine, as in this case, the mine will be lost and the resumption of production will be unprofitable and unrealistic", - said E. Tadzhibaev.
