Putin agreed with Poroshenko to renew a dialogue on energy between Russia and Ukraine

Almaty. August 27. Silkroadnews - Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he agreed with the head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to resume dialogue on energy between the two countries, according to ITAR-TASS.
Putin believes that Ukraine made ​​it impossible for Russia to provide a benefit price of gas due to the Stockholm arbitration claim. According to him, the gas issues between Russia and Ukraine "at an impasse".
However, according to Putin, Russia and the Ukraine have many specific issues that must be addressed, and both parties are interested in decision, as well as the European Union. The President also said that the contact group on Ukraine should as soon as possible resume their work. He assured that Russia will do everything for that.
As noted in the publication, the Russian president said that the tripartite working group of the Russian Federation, Ukraine and the EU by September 12, of this year, will formulate proposals to address the concerns of the countries of the Customs Union in connection with the implementation of the Association Agreement of EU with Kiev.
"We once again drew the attention of our partners - and European partners, and Ukrainian - the fact that the implementation of the agreement between Ukraine and the EU on the association bears to Russian economy significant risks", - said Putin. According to him, this also applies to zero tariffs by Ukraine and technical regulations and phytosanitary standards.
The President recalled that the association agreement between Ukraine and EU has an item on the implementation of the Ukrainian part of the European technical regulations. According to him, it would effectively mean that Russia will not be able to deliver their products to Ukraine. Ukrainian farmers, in turn, will not be able to deliver their products because of the difference of phytosanitary standards.
At the same time, Putin warned that if a solution is not found, Russia will reserves the right to retaliate.
"We respect any choice of our European partners and Ukraine. I hope that with the same respect they would apply to our measures to protect our economy", - he said.
As noted in the publication, Putin did not discuss in detail with Poroshenko terms of the ceasefire in the south-east of Ukraine.
Putin also reiterated that Russia and Ukraine "still have a lot of open questions".
In general, talking about the meeting with Poroshenko, Putin said that the conversation was on the entire range of Russian-Ukrainian relations, including economic cooperation, the situation in the south-east, the need for a speedy end of the bloodshed, and need for political control for all complex problems
