Beijing. May 28. Silkroadnews - The Ministry of Finance of Qatar ordered the owners of stores to immediately stop dealing with all the products brought from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and Bahrain, the Kazakh Telegraph Agency (KazTAG) reports with reference to Kommersant.
“Products originating from the blockading states, which as a result of the blockade cannot pass the Gulf Cooperation Council Customs Territory, have to undergo proper import inspections and customs procedures,” the press service of the Qatari government said.
It is explained that the special inspectors will go for market tours to monitor compliance with the policy. The authorities of Qatar are also going to pay close attention to prevent dairy products from Saudi Arabia from finding their way to the state through the third countries.
Qatar has made the decision in about a year after 10 states, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and Bahrain, broke off diplomatic relations with the country accusing Doha of financing terrorists and rapprochement with Iran. In December, though, the state has achieved the diplomatic victory and the Emir of Qatar took part in the Gulf Cooperation Council 38th summit.
