Qatar to open embassy in Afghanistan
Almaty. October 31. Silkroadnews – Qatar’s Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani met in Doha with the President of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, who came to honor the ceremony of farewell to the deceased emir of Qatar, AfTAG writes.
During the visit the head of Afghanistan met with Foreign Minister of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. During the meeting the sides discussed the issues on strengthening the ties between the two nations.
Qatar’s minister said his country is ready for any kind of cooperation with Afghanistan, especially in that part which will ensure the continuous peace in the country. He also said that the current Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani decided to open the country’s embassy in Afghanistan in the near future.
In his turn, Ashraf Ghani welcomed the decision to open an embassy. He confirmed that Afghanistan is also ready for any form of cooperation to expand the cooperation between the two countries.
