Rahmon and Berdymuhamedov are in favor of accelerating the construction of railway Tajikistan-Afghanistan-Turkmenistan

Almaty. April 13. Silkroadnews - The heads of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan are in favor of accelerating the construction of the railways between their countries through Afghanistan, reported the Tajik news agency (TajikTA) on Monday.
"The President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in Daegu, South Korea, within 7th World Water Forum met with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov", - says the publication.
It is noted that during the meeting the parties paid special attention to the need of expansion of trade and economic, transport, energy and cultural ties. In this regard, the parties stressed the need to accelerate the solution of issues related to the construction of the railway Tajikistan-Turkmenistan-Afghanistan and effective implementation of all the agreements signed between the two countries.
As recalled by the agency, memorandum on the construction of the railway Tajikistan-Turkmenistan-Afghanistan was signed in March 2013 by the Presidents of the three countries.
In addition, among the main topics of conversation were discussed the strengthening of cooperation to ensure regional peace and stability and prevent threats to the modern world.
