Remittances of Kyrgyz migrants from Kazakhstan decreased by 21% in 2014

Almaty. February 19. Silkroadnews - Remittances of Kyrgyz labor migrants from Kazakhstan in 2014 decreased by 21% to $20.1 million, reported KyrTAG with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Labour, migration and youth of Kyrgyzstan.
In particular, according to the press service, the Kyrgyz transfered from Russia in 2014, $2.168 billion, which is 2.3% less than in 2013. From Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz migrants sent $20.1 million, which is 20.8% less than in 2013.
As noted, the rest of the remittances are received from foreign countries, in particular from the United States and Germany.
