Russia and China will conduct joint research in China for remains of Soviet soldiers

Almaty. February 13. Silkroadnews - Russia and China will conduct joint research in China for remains of Soviet soldiers, reported China Radio International.
"China and Russia, on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the victory in World War II, are stepping up military-memorial cooperation. The sides will work together to find and bury the remains of Soviet soldiers who died during the liberation in northeast of China from the Japanese invaders",- says the publication.
According to the minister-counselor of the Russian Embassy in China Evgeniy Tomihin, work will take place in May-June near Mountain Hoshao in Mudanziyang city, Heilongjiang Province, that borders with Russia.
The remains of Soviet soldiers and officers will be reburied in compliance with all military honors. We are talking about the victims during the Manchurian operation in August-September 1945. The loss of the Soviet army amounted to about 12 thousand man. Only in the area of Mount Khoshali were killed more than 500 Soviet soldiers and officers.
Search works codenamed "Memory Watch 2015" will be held on the territory of 32 km2, by combined detachment of the young people from Russia and China. From the Russian side will participate 17 young professionals.
