Russia and Turkey agreed on the route of the pipeline "Turkish Stream"

Almaty. January 28. Silkroadnews - Russia and Turkey have agreed on the route of the pipeline under the Black Sea "Turkish Stream", reported Russian media, citing the press service of "Gazprom".
Pipeline "Turkish stream" will be held 660 km in the old corridor from "South Stream" and 250 km in the new corridor in the direction of the European part of Turkey. The power of four pipelines will be 63 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
It is planned that the company will send a note asking for design and survey work on the new Turkish maritime area on Wednesday, January 28. To lay the pipeline on the sea, Russia will perform on its own, but the transport capacity on the part of the territory of Turkey will be created together. Shares of participation have not been determined - this Russia and Turkey will agree during further negotiations.
On December 1, 2014, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the abandonment of the "South Stream" during his visit to Turkey. Cancellation of the project explained to unconstructive position of the European Commission and the difficulties in the construction of the pipeline in Bulgaria.
