Russia and Uzbekistan noted the need to create anti-terrorist coalition

Almaty. April 27. Silkroadnews – Russia and Uzbekistan are convinced of the need to form a broad anti-terrorist coalition, the head of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin said.

“The President (Islam Karimov – Silkroadnews) and I have discussed major international and regional issues extensively. We are convinced of the need to form a broad anti-terrorist coalition, acting on the basis of international law and under the auspices of the UN, especially with regard to Afghanistan,” Russian president’s administration quotes him on kremlin.ru.

He reminded that at the SCO Tashkent summit in June the parties will discuss the fight against drug trafficking, extremism and transnational organized crime.

It was reported that I. Karimov paid an official visit to Russia at the invitation of Vladimir Putin.
