Russia grants to Iran a 25% customs privileges

Almaty. May 11. Silkroadnews – Russia has granted to Iran a 25% customs privileges on import of Iranian goods, the representative of the Organization for trade development of Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Mortaji, IrTAG reports.

The organization provides, in particular, support for the commercial enterprises in promoting their products to foreign markets, increasing exports, giving information support.

“Russia has given the goods imported from Iran a special privilege, including 25% decrease in customs duties,” said H. Mortaji.

He added the concessions will be applied regarding a whole group of goods produced on the territory of Iran.
“In addition to the benefits that Russia has provided on the goods imported from Iran, the transportation and export costs have been reduced for the northern neighbor. The lowest costs of sending the Iranian goods abroad belong to Russia and are implemented through Anzali to Astrakhan,” the head of the organization added.

Despite the agreement reached with Russia on many issues of trade and absence of such a competitor as Turkey, the opportunities available are still not used to the full. For this, to get better acquaintance with Russian market and its possibilities and strengthen the trade relations between two countries, the agenda includes a trade conference to be held in Moscow in May, the organization’s representative also said.
