Russia is interested to attract Chinese investments into small and medium enterprises
Almaty. July 13. Silkroadnews – Russia is interested to attract Chinese investments into small and medium enterprises and ready to create all the necessary conditions for this, Russia’s Minister of Trade and Industry Denis Manturov said on the sidelines of the 3rd China-Russia Expo in interview with Xinhua News Agency.
“We welcome the Chinese companies coming to our country and taking part in development of our economy, industry, small and medium-sized businesses. Thus, we are ready to create all the appropriate conditions at the federal and regional level,” D. Manturov added, noting the federal governments traditionally take the major projects under their patronage.
The head of Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade said the task two countries’ leaders set to reach a $100 billion trade turnover is achievable.
“I think we underestimate our capabilities. The bilateral trade potential is much greater,” he said.
According to D.Manturov, organization and participation in such activities as joint EXPO “gives an additional impetus to development of contacts between small and medium enterprises” of two countries.
The 7th Industrial Exhibition “Innoprom” and the third China-Russia Expo are held in Yekaterinburg on July 11-14. This is the first time such Expo is carried out in Russia. In 2014 and 2015 the Chinese-Russian Expo was held in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province of China.
