Almaty. April 8. Silkroadnews - At present Russia is not ready to start to supply the rocket engines to China, the newspaper “Izvestia” reported.

“The technology sanctions imposed by the United States has made it difficult for the Russian enterprises to acquire the equipment for the space vehicles,” the publication says.

“Now we consider that China, unlike Russia, is not a party to the Missile Technology Control Regime, thus, to build the cooperation in the field of rocketry it is necessary to create a reliable legal framework that would have regulated the parties’ obligations for the protection and non-proliferation of missile technology. The “Roscosmos” has set steering committees working with their Chinese counterparts in many areas, we are looking for solutions and may be find them by the end of the year,” said representatives of the state corporation “Roscosmos”.

As the newspaper reminds, China got interested in Russian liquid rocket engines back in 2014. That time the Chinese partners showed their interest to heavy helicopters, air defense systems and liquid rocket engines. In return the Russian industry said about its interest to gain the access to the electronic component base (ECB) of “military” (for use in military systems) and “space” (radiation resistant) classes. However, the technology sanctions imposed by the United States have made it hard for the Russian enterprises to buy the component parts for spacecraft and compelled to consider redesigning the satellites that had already been created, tested and ready for serial production.
