Russia is ready to write off Kyrgyzstan’s $240 million debt – Kyrgyzstan’s Finance Ministry

Almaty. April 24. Silkroadnews – Russia is ready to write off Kyrgyzstan’s debt of $240 million, Finance Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev said, KyrTAG reports.
“Russia is ready to write off our debt of $240 million”, he said at the joint meeting of the parliamentary committees on budget and finance, economic and fiscal policy on Monday.
Minister specified, for today the debt of Kyrgyzstan is 63.5% by a ratio of GDP and reaches $3.7 billion.
“This shows there is no threat to the country’s economy. We have toughened the requirements for internal and external debts, thus, we will increase the amount of grant funds and receive loan funds under low interest rates”, he assured.
