Russia manufactured two Mi-171 for China
Almaty. November 21. Silkroadnews – The “Russian Helicopters” Holding (a part to “Rostec”) has manufactured two multi-purpose helicopters Mi-171 for the Chinese company “China General Aviation Service Co Ltd”, the holding’s site informs.
The contract with “China General Aviation Service Co Ltd” for the supply of two vehicles was signed in 2015. The helicopters have been fully tested on the Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant and are ready to be delivered to the customer base in China.
It is noted that the helicopters are equipped with modern facilities, “which, first of all, might be useful for the protection of forests and fighting against the forest fires”.
Also the helicopters are equipped with auxiliary power unit “Safir” installed providing for high altitude launch, a rescue winch and an external load sling system allowing to transport bulky loads of up to four tonnes weight, as well as extra-long-range fuel tank inside a cargo hold, oversized right-hand sliding door and a searchlight on each of helicopters, the holding’s officials noted.
