Russia plans building around 20 schools in Tajikistan with Russian as a language of instruction
Almaty. February 28. Silkroadnews – During his official visit to Tajikistan Russian president Vladimir Putin met with President Emomali Rahmon, the Tajik news agency (TajikTA) reports.
During the meeting president Putin told about the additional steps to support and develop Russian language, including development of schools throughout Tajikistan with Russian as a language of instruction. The point in case is about the construction of around 20 schools.
“We discussed the projects related to the construction of schools teaching in Russian. The President instructed the government to study the issue and, among the other things, make the approximate calculations on the budget period for the next year to begin construction of such schools here in Tajikistan”, the First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said.
According to him, Tajikistan will undertake the schools’ maintenance, yet the physical infrastructure will be created out of the Russian budget investment.
The investments volume has not been determined so far.
