Russia proposes China to establish a center of support for Chinese investors

Almaty. January 9. Silkroadnews – The Ministry for Development of Russia’s Far East proposed China to establish the Far Eastern Center to support the investors from China, the newspaper “Izvestia” writes.

“We have prepared and handed over to the Chinese side the proposal to set up the Far Eastern Center to support investors and entrepreneurs from China. We believe that this mechanism will give an additional necessary impetus to the Russian-Chinese cooperation in the macroregion and will make it possible to significantly increase the number and quality of incoming investment”, Russian Far East Development Minister, Alexander Galushka said in his interview.

According to him, at present the Russian-Chinese cooperation in the Far East region is developing dynamically. In particular, there are 23 projects with investments from China worth about $3 billion are being implemented in the region.

The share of Chinese investments in the Far East accounts for about 22% of the total foreign investments volume.
A. Galushka also added that up to 500 new enterprises are expected to be opened in the region until 2020.
