Russia remains the leading trade and economic partner of Kyrgyzstan - Putin

Almaty. June 22. Silkroadnews - Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev during his working visit to the city of St. Petersburg, met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, reports KyrTAG.
During the meeting the two leaders discussed topical issues of Russian-Kyrgyz cooperation in trade, economic, investment and energy sector.
Opening the meeting, Vladimir Putin said that Kyrgyzstan is an important partner and ally of Russia in Central Asia.
"We are developing not only political relations and integration processes, Russia also remains the leading trade and economic partner of Kyrgyzstan", - he said.
Atambaev, in turn, noted that Russia is an important strategic partner of Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyz President congratulated his Russian colleague on the success of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
