Russia to actively export buckwheat and sunflower to China

Almaty. August 3. Silkroadnews – Russia will actively export buckwheat and sunflower to China, the information portal “Donetsk Communication Resource” wrote.
Russia has agreed to supply buckwheat and sunflowers to the Chinese market, the report quoted the head of the Ministry of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin saying.
With this it is explained that a special commission has been set up to remove trade restrictions on both sides, recently a meeting of this advisory body was held when Russian representatives agreed with their Chinese counterparts on supply of buckwheat and sunflower.
The report also says on the planned expansion of wheat export regions and adding of Chelyabinsk and Altai regions to the list of regions with approval to supply the Chinese market.
According to the publication, in 2016 Russia exported 25 million tonnes of grain, having become the world’s leader in grain supply.
