Saudi Arabia by 2040 will completely abandon the use of fossil fuels

Almaty. November 5. Silkroadnews - Saudi Arabia has decided by 2040 to completely abandon the use of fossil fuels, reported the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"Traditional oil and coal should be replaced by alternative energy sources - solar and wind power", - said in a statement on Thursday.
It is noted that within the next 20 years in the development of solar energy infrastructure, leadership of Saudi Arabia intends to invest $109 billion. The plan is designated to develop up to 41 gigawatts of energy by solar plants by 2040.
